Great tutorial. I'm pretty new Fireworks, so this was a great start.

Thank you. I have been confused. I made a navigation system with drop down menus (subcategories),
exported to Dreamweaver, and imported with the FW HTML. Everything was beautiful until I wanted to make changes. From the DW panel, the import FW HTML will no longer import unless I choose to save the navigation system with CSS. (the first was html) The look of the new nav. is not nearly as clean, in fact it looks quite awful! And, when I import into the template, it pushes every image on the page vertically and to the right.

When will you be publishing the forum on how to animate buttons. If you already have please direct me to that link. Thank You, oh this was a great tutorial allthough when you tell me to "Simply select the underlying purple bar vector, and change it to different shade of purple...." I don't understand where the underlying purple bar vector is.

I read similar article also named Quick Navigation Bar, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me

Hello Joe, I am so glad I found your tutorials before I tackled my next website. You have no idea of how thankful I am. I like how you tell things in a hands on approach. I have been reading Dreamweaver Help files for too many days now on how to design a website and have been very frustrated. Your instructions are uplifting and open my eyes. I had the ideas of what I wanted, you gave me the direct answers. I am doing a navigation bar with each menu item being a used oil paint tube with the menu title over it. I will set up the nav bar like you did, but insert the images inside. I already designed the individual tubes in Photoshop with the text on top of a gradient white oval, it looks cool.
Thanks!
