When I started blogging several years ago, I decided to write about what I knew best, Adobe Fireworks. Much to my surprise, the content proved to be somewhat popular. It was a passion project for me, and helping new users get the hang of the Fireworks workflow was a lot of fun.
Sadly, a few years ago I managed to lose the images associated with those tutorial posts, rendering them nearly useless. Then, the final nail in the coffin was stuck shortly thereafter. In May of 2013, Adobe decided to discontinue Fireworks.
Like a lot of users I was pissed. I had invested years in mastering the tool, and suddenly it was destined for the digital dustbin like it’s brother Macromedia Freehand.
I begrudgingly switched over to doing UI layout in Adobe Photoshop, and over the last two and a half years learned to love it.
So with that, I’m retiring my old half broken blog posts, and starting a brand new series based on Adobe Photoshop, general User Interface Design, User Experience Design and front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS).
